Lease Agreement

The following terms are part of the 2012 Commercial Booth Lease Agreement and will be enforced during the Douglas County Fair.

FAIR DATES:

August 16 – August 19, 2012

HOURS OF OPERATION:

Thursday through Saturday, 10:00am – 10:00pm
Sunday, 10:00am – 6:00pm

SETUP:

Tuesday noon – 5:00pm, Wednesday 9:00 am – 9:00 pm, Thursday before 10:00am

TEAR DOWN:

Sunday after 6:00pm

FEES:

No refunds of booth rent or other vendor fees after August 1.

  • Booths must be manned at all times including Sunday until tear down after 6:00pm.
  • No deliveries may be made during the fair after 10:00 am within the restricted areas of the fairgrounds without the consent of Douglas County Fair officials.
  • The Douglas County Fair assumes no liability for loss or damage to any property of the Applicant. General liability insurance coverage of no less than $500,000 naming the Douglas County Agricultural Association as an additional insured is required of the vendors. Each vendor selling any products must include product liability coverage. A “Certificate of Liability Insurance” shall be provided to the Douglas County Fair when the contract is signed.
  • All vendors must comply with Federal, State and Local laws, regulations and ordinances and are subject to inspection by the Minnesota State Board of Electricity, the Minnesota and Douglas County Departments of Health, and the Minnesota Department of Agriculture.
  • It is hereby mutually agreed that the Douglas County Agricultural Association leases space during the 2012 Douglas County Fair, August 16–August 19 to the named applicant on the "2012 Commercial Booth Lease Agreement". No part of the space covered by this agreement shall be assigned, sublet, or otherwise disposed of without the written consent of the Douglas County Fair. All booths are allocated at the discretion of the Douglas County Fair Board. Please do not assume that you will receive the same location as in prior years.
  • Applicant agrees to confine all selling and advertising activities within the leased booth space. Sales people and demonstrators are prohibited from operating outside of their booth space or interfering with the public and other exhibitors.
  • The sale, storage or consumption of any beverage containing alcohol is prohibited on the fairgrounds. This includes the display or sale of items advertising or promoting alcohol.
  • All live animals and birds, other than 4-H, for display and or sale must have a signed health certificate from a veterinarian. These animals must be kept within the leased space.
  • Each commercial vendor must post in a conspicuous manner a sign with letter size of no less then six inches in height stating the name of their business or organization.
  • Each food concessionaire shall keep posted in a conspicuous manner at the front entrance of their place of business a sign with letter size of no less then six inches in height listing the price of meals, lunches, and all articles of food and drinks to be sold.
  • All exhibitors and concessionaires and their help must be neat and tidy in their dress and keep their spaces in a sanitary condition during and after the fair.
  • Parking for vendors will be in designated areas. Parking on your booth space or any other unoccupied commercial space is not allowed unless the vehicle is a permanent part of your display and is not moved during the fair.
  • Commercial vendors may park their self contained camper in a designated area but not in the booth space or the vendor parking areas.
  • All garbage and trash must be discarded in the containers provided by the fair.
  • The management of the fair reserves the right to cancel at any time all contracts made with concessionaires and others.
